Based on feedback that you have all provided on ranged combat, we have rebalanced range in the following areas:

- Buffed Accuracy
- Rebalanced Drawpower/Ammo values

Ranged is now more dependant on the ammunition you use, where the projectiles damage values have been increased up to fourfold. This means that a greater component of the ranged damage calculation comes from your ammo. An example would be Bronze Arrow damage values have been increased from 9 to 17.

We have also implemented Light Crossbows, Crossbows and Arbalests (6 each) for a total of 18 new ranged weapons. Crossbows are slightly slower than bows but pack a more powerful punch and are more accurate and damaging. Crossbows use bolts instead of arrows, we have added in the 24 bolts.

All the bow recipes (5 hunting bow, 5 shortbow, 5 longbow) recipes have also been implemented, as well as 24 arrow recipes and 24 arrowhead recipes.

This means that this upcoming weekend, fletching/smelting will get a total of 169 new recipes. We will also be implemented 2 new feather types (Goose and Duck), highe quality arrows will need better feathers to make. Ranged models are also our first items ingame where the appearances change based on the quality, each bow for example has their own coloured wood, each crossbow have different wood stocks and metal limbs, so you will be able to tell exactly what sort of weapon someone is holding. We plan on extending this to melee weapons and redoing all those models to colour the metals when server budget allows.
