Today we will be doing a mechanic reveal on claiming and owning lands in the wild lands.

    Claiming land

The wild lands is a 50,000 x 40,000 map with custom terrain. Players will be able to create their own piece of paradise or raise cities in the vast wilderness of the wild lands. Owning land is the pinnacle of player status as it is characteristically expensive to do so. Besides requiring a rank of atleast Shopkeeper, players will also need guldens and land deeds to claim land. Fortunately, the cost is a one-off expense as there are no on-going maintenance fee for owning land. Land can be claimed in a set of 4x4 chunks, and it gets more expensive in terms of land deeds and guldens as more land is claimed. Hence, you should bring your friends or guild members to claim huge swathes of land.

    Managing land

Players who do not log in for 3 months will have their land automatically abandoned in order for other players to claim. When land is abandoned, the terrain will be restored to its default state. Building griefing and offensive structures on owned land will render it to be abadoned resetted. Hence if you don't want to waste your precious guldens and land deeds, be respectful of other players!

    Benefits of owning land

Even though claiming land is prohibitively expensive, the benefits of doing so is surely enough to make one aspire to become a land owner:

    1. Placing hotspots and modifiers

Players can look forward to creating an industrious hub by placing hotspots, which can be transformed into useful workbenches and fixtures when using the appropriate levels in Carpentry. Alternatively, the land can be enriched with resources using land modifiers, where plots of land can become spots for fly-fishing salmon.

    2. Renting land to other players

Owned land can be sub-divided and rented out to other players for an added passive income. Players can rent land to build shops and raise a lucrative enterprise in populated cities.

    3. Creating a hub for your friends, guild, or even the community

Share the pride of your guild or community by building impressive cities where players can live, gather and craft. Players can fast travel between owned properties in the main world and owned land in the wild lands.
